The Challenges

Coca Cola’s radical new Freestyle vending machine needed a front display panel to stop people in their tracks. Traditional lighting methods resulted in a lacklustre presence, the white ribbon appeared grey and a highly innovative dispenser development appeared dull.

Drink choices are made at the bar but brands struggle to visibly differentiate their identities when they are most needed – at the point of purchase – the P.O.P.
Creating ‘front of mind’ presence in a cluttered, low-light environment was the brief.

These developed effects reinforced market-leading bar equipment and stunning font design. Custom-designed photometric lighting and domed graphics gently highlighted the brands where they needed it most: in front of the buyer at the point of purchase.

Fisher & Paykel - Touch panels that handle tough love

The Challenges
The Fisher & Paykel team needed a switching front panel that was waterproof, chemical resistant, sealed and retained high-quality graphics in a cost-effective component.
Conventional switch panels had too many components to be cost-effective and did not achieve the high-tech, modern finish required.

SSA developed innovative printing techniques to create a one-piece moulded front panel, incorporating the key elements into a single cost-effective component while delivering superior life and high quality.

Implementation
We delivered top quality graphic panels as a subcomponent of a specialised injection moulding process.

EFTPOS - POS POPS! with plastics protected from button pushers

The Challenges

Provenco’s new EFTPOS device needed a rugged exterior to meet the demands of the oil industry combined with high-tech good looks. The device needed to be tough while providing a high level of functionality and cost-effective components. The typical solution would require several parts, each adding expense and complexity.

SSA Solutions
SSA developed innovative ink technology combined with a sophisticated, distortion printing process to produce a self-contained skin ready for thermo-forming into the final shape.

Implementation
SSA delivered a single formed skin incorporating the graphics, surface finishes and display windows all in a continuous (sealed) surface.
